Coronavirus Worship Guidelines 26th January 2022

        The End of “Plan B”

As of 27th January 2022 the measures put in place under Plan B in England have been lifted.
There is, for example, no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering. Revised government guidance for places of worship may be published but for now the Methodist Church of Great Britain has said that its guidance for churches remains current. At its meeting on 26th January the Church Council decided that Hockley and Hawkwell Methodist Church should continue to maintain a cautious approach and adopted these guidelines:

We encourage all users of the Church premises to wear a face covering at all times

For worship

  • there will continue to be one-way circulation through the Church with entry via the side doors and leaving by the main front doors

  • please sit down as soon as you arrive, stay seated until the end of the service and please continue to wear a face mask, even when singing

  • some windows will remain open – wrap up well, it could be chilly!

  • Please continue to sign the Track & Trace register or sign in with the NHS app

  •  no collection will be taken during the service
